Archer joined our family at 11 months old in 2020, after he was not a good fit for his home. He was bursting with energy and chaos, we were having a really hard time. He got destructive, would escape crates and have accidents in the house. Over the first year we worked with him so hard, we did not want to use medication for his anxiety, eventually we had to. We did ween him to a lower dose than he started on because it was taking his personality away, we was just dog...no personality, did not like playing with toys, and very low energy. Which I guess was the goal but we cherish his personality and what makes him Archer and we did not want that to go away. Archer brings so much to our gang, he has the amazing ability to sense when we are sad, upset or stressed. He will come give you love and even do deep pressure therapy. I always say that he would be a really good therapy dog. He loves people so much, that we may train him when he's older but for now he's just our personal therapy dog.

Archer loves two things, people and water, you can catch him right by our side or swimming. The one thing he hates besides veggies is being groomed. Nail trim? That's the worst! He is a very vocal dog, and he WILL let you know if he is unhappy, angry, sad with a deep sigh, or excited. That's what I love about him the most. He and sandy are very different, he loves cuddles, exercise and treats. Sandy is more independent. Archer has taught me patients...to the max. There was a point where we were not able to provide him with what he needed. But I as able to adjust and work with him. He has exceeded our expectations and wildest dreams. We are very happy he is part of our gang.

Love Always,

Eve
